Symmetric Cruising Spinnakeri-Sails

Spi Symetrique i-Sails
Launch promotion - 30% off standard color price for Dark Navy blue spinnakers from size 6 and up (Asym) and size 10 and up (Sym)
Symmetrical spinnakers remain the most effective sail for running dead downwind, thanks to a greater sail area, and to the spinnaker pole which offsets the sail's tack to windward, well outside the wind shadow created by the main sail.

Symmetrical spinners have some drawbacks, of course... they require using a spinnaker pole and attendant hardware, they can be a handful if you have a smaller or family crew, and manoeuvres, particularly gibing, are a little more complicated...

With a spinnaker sock, however, hoisting and retrieving a symmetrical spinnaker (almost) becomes child's play, and is definitely within reach of a cruising/ family crew.

Our Symmetrical spinnaker is broad shouldered, with a mid girth longer than the foot girth - a design that offers a more spherical shape to maximize the projected area . Associated to a medium draft, this design delivers a multi-purpose sail, handling broad reach to full run, with true wind angles 120 -180°, and a target wind speed of 8-15 knots.

We build this spinnaker in our High Tenacity Nylon 3/4 oz- 50g/m² for sizes 45 to 116 /m² and 1.5 oz - 70g/m2 for sizes 130 to 288 m². You can even choose custom colors here!
